The Stair

I wanted to create a staircase that would compliment the golden jewellery of Mountain and Moon yet not be too similar to draw attention away from the art itself. This dark timber beams provide a seemless balistrade for the staircase that envelops anyone who makes the ascent. The beams are connected to the stairs with small metal rods that provide support for the light stairs. The choice to not fully enclose the stairs with a solid balistrade was done on purpose to provide natural light to the staircase and connect the it to the open space.
